The plans for the Masjid (Place of Worship) were approved by the 53rd community leader & spiritual father His Holiness Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin (T.U.S) during a diplomatic visit to Bali in 2019. In August 2019, with his blessings, ground was broken despite all odds and its construction has gone uninterrupted in the midst of a worldwide pandemic.
Completion of the masjid is slated for end-2022, and the Melbourne Dawoodi Bohra Community hope to welcome His Holiness Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin to Melbourne for its inauguration.

Lessons are taught from the Holy Quran & delivered in the traditional language of the Dawoodi Bohras, Lisan’ud Dawat. Under the supervision of the local community head , the school’s committee ensures the best possible standard of education is available to all its pupils, by working in partnership with the head teacher and the staff.
Children here emerge able to creatively meet challenges of career and society.
The school is located in Heidelberg, and there are currently 100+ students enrolled in its classes.
Launched in August 2011, this novel initiative today benefits over 135,000 community households in 869 cities across the world.
Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin’s son and successor, the 53rd and present spiritual leader Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin, has been instrumental in every aspect of its implementation right from its inception ten years ago. Through his directions and guidance, the community kitchen has managed to achieve its objectives: ensuring food security with a focus on providing healthy and nutritious meals, strengthening community bonds,preventing food waste and enabling spiritual as well as material enrichment.
Run with voluntary donations from community members, the kitchen brings together every member of the community, regardless of socio-economic status.
In Melbourne alone, the initiative services over 125 families, with thalis, or boxes of food, travelling more than 300 kms per day to reach the households of the community.
Meals are prepared fresh in the community kitchen, and every care is taken to ensure that there is zero wastage of food. Not only does it provide community members with easily accessible, halaal, hygienic, and healthy food, it is indiscriminate between wealthy and underprivileged, bringing all those who partake to one level, one status, one rank.
The scheme has been instrumental in the social and economic prosperity of the Dawoodi Bohra community over the last few decades.
Currently, 150+ community members in the Melbourne Jamaat benefit from Qardan Hasana on a regular basis.

12 Umoor (Departments)
Our spiritual leader, Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin (T.U.S) has divided the matters of the Jamaat into 12 departments (Umoor). Just like different departments of an organisation, each Umoor has its own scope of work and will focus on improving every aspect of a community member’s life.
The formation of 12 Umoor Teams provides a platform for community members of different skills to come together and contribute to the progress of the Jamaat. Furthermore, the 12 Umoor will increase the Jamaat’s efficiency and transform it into a goal-driven organisation.
